HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS

† there seem to be a ton of new chapters in my life recently... i started school, quit my part time job, got a scooter, got a new apartment... things are fresh and i friggin' love it.

the biggest thing is the apartment. i moved to a studio in hayes valley (just right above the mission on the other side of market) and this is my first time living on my own. my god i love it. having developed a strange ocd-ness about certain things (ie: the length of time dirty dishes stay in the sink, or how dry the area around my sink is, or shed hair getting in between my toes...)  i can't expect anyone that i live with to have the same expectations as me. so the studio was a great idea. i've become obsessed with housewares (uh oh, nesting habits?) and actually splurged on an eames hang it all coat rack. seems kind of silly to have splurged on a coat rack but i found it weirdly hard to find a cool cheap one. now on to coasters... just kidding.

the biggest joy of having a great little studio, not having a job, and class only two days a week? having leisurely mornings where i go on a little run down market street to the embarcadero, come back, make myself some delicious breakfast while reading the news and listening to some jams. god i love my life.

How do you afford rent if you don't work?
